Balancing Work and Personal Life: Let What Matters to You Most Drive You

WorkLifeBalance5Following on my prior post from Bobbie LaPorte’s talk on Achieving a High Quality Work and Personal Life,  I wanted to delve a little deeper into the insights Bobbie shared about staying focused on What Matters to You Most.

Bobbie posed some good questions that I’ve been trying to work on daily:

  • Do your commitments match your convictions?
  • Are you allocating resources to your highest priority values?
  • Where ARE YOU putting your time, money and energy?

Another nugget Bobbie shared that makes so much sense, but I haven’t always done is; when you take on a new commitment, something else needs to be jettisoned.
This is a good challenge or goal for me personally.  I look forward to hearing what others have done to help with “releasing” what you jettison!
