Last Thursday, December 12th, Women in Consulting released the full results of our 12th Annual Best Practices and Compensation Survey.  The survey found that while gross revenue of top Bay Area consultants increased dramatically, revenue margins were down, in part due to a decline in the use of consulting best practices.  According to the report, in 2013, only 69 percent of all respondents sometimes charge fixed or project fees, a decrease from 70 percent in 2011 and 77 percent in 2012.

There is a lot we can learn from WIC’s 12th annual best practices survey.  WIC President Kathie Sherman says it best, “One of the most valuable aspects of the WIC survey is the analysis of the responses of top-earning consultants to identify successful best practices that others can use in their businesses.”

Below is an infographic that details some of the key findings of the survey.  Additionally, the full survey is available to WIC members.  Consultants can get a copy of the full report if they become a WIC member.  Please feel free to share the infographic with any consultants you think may benefit.
