Many of us local to the San Francisco Bay Area were shaken awake by the Napa earthquake last month.
It was a good reminder to be better prepared for emergencies…all types of emergencies, including floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, winter storms, etc. September is National Preparedness Month (NPM), with America’s PrepareAthon on September 30th. If you don’t have a plan, this is a great time to create one. If you have a plan, this is a great time to update it. Here are some tips and resources to get you started:

- Make a plan for your Pets
Create a Kit
- FEMA has a list of Basic Disaster Supplies to include
- Create kits for your home, work and vehicle
- Know how much water you need
