Ready for the Results? Best Practices Survey Reviewed at June Meeting

:: We all need a reality check now and again, and the annual WIC Best Practices Survey is a great place to start. Mark your calendar for Thursday, June 15th when Survey Program Director Jen Berkley Jackson of The Insight Advantage and Deb Siegle of Strategic Marketing Solutions will share this year’s results from your consulting peers.

So now is the time to join WIC if you want to know more about things like:

  • Total revenue for 2016
  • Average hourly rate
  • Average retainer fee
  • Average project fee
  • Target hourly rate in project fees
  • Number of subcontractors used
  • Total amount paid to subcontractors and/or employees

Not convinced yet? Don’t you want the latest answers to these questions too?

Wondering what has happened to consultant financial performance over the past year?  Last year saw an increase of 5% to gross revenue from 2014 to 2015 (after being flat from 2013 to 2014) and an increase in profit of 11% from 2014 to 2015. Hope the numbers are even better this year.

What advice will we hear from consultants about the best way to build your business?  In the past, networking has been the #1 factor that successful consultants agree has helped them meet their business goals. Let’s see if people-to-people still ranks at the top or if social media outreach is becoming more influential.

What best practices do the most successful consultants utilize?  Year after year, we have heard that charging a portion of fees upfront, using subcontractors, and marking up subcontractor fees are some of the keys to a healthy, growing business.

So be sure to register for this popular meeting held at Michael’s at Shoreline on Thursday, June 15. And consultants new to WIC should consider these one of the following membership options to get a discount on the meeting registration fee:

  • Basic
  • Premium
  • Leaders Network
