Finding Time

Time is something that draws a lot of discussion these days. What I always tell people is…there are, and always will be, only 24 hours in a day. How you spend that time is up to you. Here are a few tips to help you be more productive during those 24 hours:

  • Set a reasonable amount of priorities (3-4 max).
  • Be realistic when allocating time for your projects.
  • Tackle the most dreaded item on your To-Do list first.
  • Set a timer for time suckers like Facebook & Twitter.
  • Schedule time to do things that you love.
How do you want to spend your time?

  1. Great points, Melissa…and I can say that when I DO stick to these simple steps/strategies, things flow SO much better…my stress level is much lower, I BREATHE better, and everyone around me seems just a bit happier (especially my family!!!) :o)

  2. Some I have to get better at–especially of late–BUT I’m pretty religious about tackling the most dreaded item on my To-Do list first. I always feel much better when I’m done with it and are then left with more enjoyable tasks–it’s like my reward. 🙂 Thanks for all the great reminders!
